For the past fifteen years, ATEMM has assisted the migrant community in the U.S. and their respective Immigration Attorneys with various legal matters that require access to the Mexican Judicial System in a knowledgeable, reliable and efficient way. Some of the legal processes my firm assists with is amending birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, where there exists an irregularity in the registration process. The Mexican Consulates are unable to make any corrections to these types of legal documents as it is required to start a legal proceeding before a magistrate with the assistance of legal counsel. Our firm also assists in obtaining the Mexican Federal and State Background Checks commonly known as Police Clearance Letters (Cartas de Antecedentes No Penales) and records or documents from Mexican institutions that may assist you and your clients in the preparation and filing of inadmissibility waivers. In working with other Immigration Practitioners, we have helped to obtain Identity Verification Letters (Cartas de Identidad) from the municipal authorities in Mexico to enable our clients to properly identify themselves to the Consular Authorities in the U.S. to apply for a Consular I.D. and/or a Mexican Passport. Other processes include assisting our clients in registering ownership of real property (in the case of an inheritance) or transferring ownership of real property (in the case of a purchase/sale) when the property is located in Mexico and various other legal matters related to Family Law.
